Despite the ban on entering both rooms, it was impossible not to.
The doors closed but not locked, to push gently creaked when we slipped inside.
low light, dusty and fear of the unknown, we went slowly through these gloomy rooms.
The wood cabinets were piled to one side to the other, lamps, furniture, jewelery boxes, shoes, walking sticks, sun protective umbrellas, men's hats, saddles, horse .. .'s room looked like a bazaar, where we could find anything.
Between the trunks! our favorite! There was one special. It was intended to remain inside the party dresses for some reason had been discarded.
suits the time of Charleston, evening dresses, long, flared ... shoes with beads, matching hats ... a paradise for children of 10 years.
With haste and nervousness, we stuffed into those dusty clothes, no matter the smell of old that came off, or moth holes had, nothing mattered we felt like princesses in the film "What the Wind."
We ataviábamos with necklaces, bracelets, hats and more as if it were the normal, we went down to the bottom floor, slowly, quietly to avoid being discovered.
then more freely, we slipped into the garden where we danced and played to be fine young ladies taking a course imaginary tea, but English. We never lacked imagination.
almost always on the way home, someone discovered and of course ... another reprimand was coming.
But they were times of carnival festivities, where more or less loosened a little tough 'education that were submitted, and being at that time, this time, the fight was minor.
So let us go, not without protest as we passed and took us to lunch.
addition to the typical sweet and ears, flowers, crepes ... in my family always made a cake of nuts. I never knew the reason for this custom, but it was, with crackling cake Nieves, which I'll talk another day.
left that cake and I hope you like it, we called her grandma's pie, being Pacita De Oya, my grandmother, who always asked.
